Portfolio highlight: Print Design for The European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations (EMMIR)

Over the course of the last 5 years working with the European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations (EMMIR), I've had the opportunity to create a lot of designs. Recently, my task was to create a series of print designs, including posters and roll-ups, that are now being displayed across their partner institutions in Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Overall, the goal was to create a welcoming, professional display that emphasizes the programme’s international nature and diverse student body.

Recent print designs:

Introductory poster:

This poster serves as an introduction to the EMMIR programme, showcasing key statistics and information about the consortium, the countries and students involved, and what makes the programme unique. It’s designed to give visitors and new students a quick, digestible overview of the programme’s reach and impact.

2023 Alumni Survey & 2024 Alumni Tracer reports poster:

This poster focuses on the alumni survey and tracer reports, which I scoured, read, and analyzed to create easy-to-understand infographics. The visuals present key data on alumni career paths, satisfaction with the programme, and the long-term impact EMMIR has had on graduates. The challenge here was to take large amounts of data and distill them into something visually engaging and informative.

Both posters were printed in A1 and A0 sizes and have been printed for use in EMMIR's partner institution offices, classrooms, at events and conferences, and more.

Roll-ups:

Two roll-up banners were designed for visibility at events, meetings, and in general university spaces.

These posters and roll-ups are featured prominently at the University of Oldenburg and across EMMIR's seven other partner institutions. With accreditation, consortium meetings, and new students arriving, the need for these designs was to make everyone feel welcomed and to establish EMMIR’s presence within the universities. It was essential to build a sense of community and highlight the program’s features in a way that is both inviting and informative.

I’m proud to see my work in action, and to see that these designs are being used to showcase the EMMIR program to students, faculty, and visitors!
